There are people that like sticking to their routine, even if it was set in 1965. Joan found a hairdo she loved 51 years ago, and she’s never dared to change it--so every Wednesday morning, she spends four hours doing her signature hairstyle that lasts an entire week.

Joe ties her hair up using 12 hairpins, brushes out the previous teasing, washes her hair, sets it in rollers of various sizes, and then sits under a dryer for an hour. Once her hair dries, she does the process all over again and rolls it up into a beehive until next week.

Her daughters, however, Cindy and Christine, were not so crazy about their mom’s look, but no matter what they said to her, she refused to make any changes to her hairstyle.

However, the sisters believed the hairdo also made her mom look a bit older than her age, and they weren't the only ones. In fact, it made people think the woman was the girl’s grandmother instead of the mother.
