Lucy Hatami is a mom living in the UK who is raising her baby son. One day she wanted to go out for a nice restaurant meal and decided she would take the risk and venture out with her little one to a public place. She had only been out with her baby a small number of times.

Of course, like babies are inclined to do, her little boy started to get fussy in the restaurant. We have all been in public, or worse a plane, with a crying baby. It sucks, but it sucks for the parent who knows everyone is hating on them and their child even more. Not only are they dealing with a crying baby, but they're also dealing with judgement.

While Lucy’s baby was fussing, she heard a young man in his twenties sitting near her mutter to his companion, ‘I wish she’d shut that thing up.’ Upon hearing the whisper, Hatami felt embarrassed but also hurt. She was getting ready to say something to the uncompassionate stranger when someone else stepped in.
