5. American Alpha vs The Revival (NXT Takeover: Dallas) - American Alpha looked like they’d been together for decades, as they executed a number of double-team moves including a pair of German suplexes to dethrone the tag-team champions.

6. Asuka vs Bayley (NXT Takeover: Brooklyn II) - The best women’s match of the year, Asuka took the Women’s Championship from Bayley in an awesome match that lasted almost thirty minutes.

7. Samoa Joe vs Sami Zayn (NXT March 9th) - This 45-minute epic was a two out of three falls match for the #1 contender spot. Joe would end up winning on a rear naked choke, and go on to take the belt twice this year.

8. The Revival vs #DIY (NXT Takeover: Toronto) - Another two out of three match, this time with the Tag Team Championship on the line. It was an entertaining match that saw #DIY take the title getting both Revival members to tap simultaneously.
