On May 2, 2015 one of the most highly anticipated sporting events took place when Manny ‘Pac Man’ Pacquiao went up against Floyd Mayweather in the boxing ring. The fight had been talked about for years and it took a long time for it to actually happen.

Both men are iconic boxers which is why everyone wanted to see them fight. Mayweather even came out of retirement for the match. The money that was on the line was absolutely mind blowing and a part of the reason why it took so long to negotiate the terms of engagement of the flight because both boxers are two of the highest paid athletes in the world.

The PPV event broke records in the U.S. as the revenue from the fight totaled $410 million! It's still the highest-grossing PPV event in history, breaking the record held by the Mayweather- Alvarez fight back in 2013.

In the Philippines, which has a total population of 98 million and is Pacquiao's home country, had a crazy amount of viewers. It's estimated that almost half of the country's households watched the match.
