The WWE is not just about singular wrestlers, tag teams and factions make up a big part of it. Some of the most famous factions have been:
Of course, there have been less than stellar and successful factions as well. One of the most successful ones was ‘The Four Horsemen’.
That particular faction was reinvented a couple times with Ric Flair remaining the one constant. Now it has been totally revamped and brought back as ‘The Four Horsewoman’. It's fitting Charlotte Flair is in it, following in her dad's footsteps. The other three ladies are also extremely talented wrestlers. Here are some facts about the four women that make up the faction.
1/ Current WWE wrestlers paying tribute to their old favorites in the ring is nothing new. For Bayley, her inspiration for getting into wrestling is Macho Man Randy Savage. She has talked about how he was the first wrestler she watched wrestle, and her wrestling outfits are inspired by him. The streamers on her arms are the most obvious tribute to him. Randy Savage brought color, energy, and bright sparkles to his entrance and Bayley is continuing that tradition.
2/ Becky The Lass-kicker took a couple of years off of wrestling. When she returned in 2011, she didn't jump right back into the ring, she took more of a background role. She joined up with an all-female indie promotion which is where she met Paige. Paige was still wrestling under the name Britani Knight and she was trying hard to break into the US wrestling scene. Becky ended up being Paige’s manager and she did a really good job at it!
3/ Sasha Banks plays a tough heel in the ring. It can be surprising for people to find out that outside of the squared circle she has very nerdy interests. Not to anyone that follows her social media where she is open about her love of video games, comics, cosplay, and Japanese anime. A big inspiration for her while she was growing up was Sailor Moon, which is also her favorite show.
4/ Currently, Sasha and Charlotte are dominating the women’s division at Raw, but they worked their way up to it. One of their first appearances was when they both flanked Triple H for his entrance at 'WrestleMania XXX'. Triple H had a huge entrance that night where he came in as a king and had three masked women joining him. Two were Sasha and Charlotte, the third one was Alexa Bliss!
