In ‘The Origin of Species’, Charles Darwin put together a lot of compelling evidence that shows how species evolve over time to adapt to the challenges of their environment. Sometimes, it seems like some people are immune to that theory and ignore danger while getting hurt or killed in the process. Some examples of how people ignore their evolutionary instinct include:

  • Fighting wild animals willingly
  • Playing with electricity
  • Ignoring obvious signs of danger

If you believe in the theory of evolution, then you also believe that people who do stupid things willingly, and die in the process, are doing the world a favor by eliminating themselves from the gene pool. There are so many examples of people ignoring their intuitive common sense which extends to all races, cultures, socioeconomic groups and genders.
