Wrestling has seen lots of ups and downs this year. Views may be low, but this year showed us that the crazy, chaotic days of wrestling are not over.
Here are 8 stories that changed wrestling in 2016.
1. In February, one of the WWE’s most beloved wrestlers, Daniel Bryan, called it quits. Many fans saw it coming, but it was still gut-wrenching nonetheless
2. One of the WWE’s biggest moves this year was splitting 'RAW' and 'SmackDown'. This Brand Split has shown us mixed results, but has overall improved the face of the WWE.
3. The Cruiserweight Classic introduced us to unsigned wrestlers from all over the world and gave freelance wrestlers the chance to shine.
4. Impact Wrestling has been hovering on the edge of uncertainty for years. After facing a major legal battle this year, most thought TNA was finally done for good. But in regular TNA fashion, it pulled through into another year of uncertainty.
