Teacher Tries To Demonstrate Internet Safety, But It Backfires Royally

The internet can be both an amazing and a very scary place. Sure, there is very little you can’t find online, which means it opens a whole new world of possibilities, but people often forget that possibilites go both ways:

  • Good and
  • Bad

One teacher learned this the hard way. While trying to teach his students about internet safety, he did what many others have done before: he posted a photo of himself taken with a placard asking strangers to share the pic and write their location.

The whole point of the experiment was to show his students that even if your Facebook account is ‘private,’ your photo can be seen by millions of strangers. However, the lesson completely backfired.

Sure, he got to prove his point, but at a very high price. Not only was his photo shared on social media, but it was also picked up by Reddit for an epic photoshop battle.

After only a few days, people had taken his photo and manipulated their own version of the man’s physical look to the actual writing on the cue card.

The afro suits him and that painting he’s showing his students is just beautiful.
