The iconic Van Morrison song ‘Brown Eyed Girl’ was actually titled ‘Brown Skinned Girl’. Van Morrison told the ‘Belfast Telegraph’: ‘That was just a mistake. It was a kind of Jamaican song...Calypso. It just slipped my mind. I changed the title.’

The English band Coldplay was actually first named ‘Starfish’. Much like the creators of candy corn who realized that chicken feed was a horrible name, we have to assume Chris Martin and the rest of the gang decided ‘Starfish’ was a really bad name.
Another band, this time Maroon 5. Adam Levine and the guys had originally called themselves ‘Kara’s Flowers’.
