Drinking and driving accounts for around 100,000 deaths per year in motor vehicle accidents, and it's 100 percent preventable. A crash occurred near Fillmore Utah that ended the lives of three people.

18-year-old Jessie N. Wilkerson was driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee down the wrong way of the l-15 when she smashed into a Honda carrying three people. Three people died, and one is in critical condition. Wilkerson passed away from injuries enforced by the accident and, when investigating the scene, police discovered there was a bottle of alcohol behind her seat.

The driver of the Honda, 25-year-old Larry J. Martin, was killed by the drunk driver and died on impact. There are conflicting reports on whether he was wearing a seatbelt or not. In the back of the Honda, a 27-year-old female named Kaela Hernandez was sleeping without wearing a seatbelt. She died on impact when she was ejected from the vehicle.

The only survivor of this horrific crash is 29-year-old Joseph C. Martin, who was in the passenger seat of the Honda and was wearing a seat belt. He is currently in hospital with serious injuries.
