Crazy Avril Lavigne Conspiracy Theory Has Twitter User Thinking She Was Replaced In The 2000s


There have been several hoaxes that have fluttered around the internet over the past few decades. People just love to create rumors to stir up the masses. For some reason, death hoaxes seem to be a pretty popular subject.

One theory that suggests that Canadian singer-songwriter Avril Lavigne actually passed away in 2003 and was then replaced by an actress to keep her career moving forward.

The conspiracy has been around for a while but it has recently resurfaced thanks to twitter user @givenchyass. A rant of tweets, as well as questionable evidence, point towards this being a possibility.

With blogs and twitter accounts dedicated to the confirmation of Avril Lavigne’s death, it’s easy to see how people would be quick to believe this information. But is it true? I’ve done some digging and I’ve gathered everything you need to know about this alleged Avril Lavigne Death Hoax.

Fans have been coming up with multiple suggestions and theories pointing towards the possibility that the real Avril might have died and was then replaced by an actress named Melissa Vandella.

The theories are so carefully thought out, that although this is definitely a hoax, some people were beginning to believe it.

It does kind of make sense that fans might consider a switch up. If you compare her earlier music from her first album Let it Go, to some of her recent singles there are a ton of differences.

Not only does her style and genre change drastically, but @givenchyass mentions that ‘it’s a completely different style and use of vocals.’
