Everybody loves Jimmy Kimmel’s segment “Celebrities Read Extremely Mean Tweets” on his talk show. He’s done a ton of them and they don’t seem to get old. If you’ve never seen one, essentially he gets different celebrities to read a mean tweet that someone made about them. They don’t see it beforehand and read it for the first time on camera.
Different celebrities have different reactions, but they are all so natural and unexpected that it’s pretty hilarious to watch. On top of that, the things that people write on these celebs are just as funny. Many celebs have been on it, even the Obamas have participated in it. This past week it’s been Emma Watson, Gal Gadot, Jim Parsons and more.
The video starts with Gal Gadot having slight difficulty understanding what her mean Tweet is all about. But she manages to get through it. The person who wrote the tweet decided to target the gorgeous actress’ appearance, particularly her chest area. But that didn’t phase her at all, in fact, she kindly pointed out that the Tweet made no sense whatsoever. Hilarious!
The next target was Emma Watson. Her mean tweet was pretty lengthy and she didn’t look too impressed with it. It read, “Emma Watson seems like the type of girl who I would be friends with for like 3 days and then get really sick of but not tell her.” Emma handled it like a champ and just didn’t comment anything anyways. Silence is hilarious as well.
Just when you thought this segment couldn’t get any better, you have Jake Gyllenhaal, with his innocent puppy dog eyes reading a mean tweet. The person wrote, “Jake Gyllenhaal has the most punchable face of all time. I’d like nothing more than to sock him in his ugly, soft, starry-eyed pug face.”
Then came Elisabeth Moss. Her tweet starts out actually very nice. The person actually does the opposite and compliments her….till the end. It says, “Elisabeth Moss looks STUNNING. I think she can clean up well, despite my grandmother’s harsh opinion that she’s hideous.”
Jennifer Aniston also read a mean tweet, and she had a positive attitude…until the end. She said, “Jennifer Aniston is what happens when a bag of flour gets its big break”. This segment never gets old, so check out the video below to see more.
