Anna Faris made her first public appearance since her split from husband Chris Pratt at the Emmys over the weekend and she looked fabulous. Faris attended the Primetime Emmys with her co-star Allison Janey as their sitcom Mom was nominated for two Emmy awards, one being outstanding lead actress in a comedy series and the other being outstanding multi-picture editing in a comedy series.
While Pratt did not attend the big award show, he was spotted out in LA by a TMZ reporter who asked him what he thought about Anna’s appearance at the Emmy’s. Pratt, being the gentleman he is, praised his wife and her co-star in the sweetest way possible.
“I know that she did great,” Pratt said, sounding confident. “Anna did an amazing job, man. She rules. Her and Alison [Janey] both looked great. Go watch Mom on CBS!”
Now, of course when going through a separation it is important to stay classy and mature, especially when young children are involved but celebrities are human too. His words were pretty sweet for a man currently going through a separation and if this isn’t proof that the exes are working toward a new normal, we’re not sure what is.
Faris has discussed the idea of Pratt not being her best friend in her upcoming biography Unqualified but has stated that despite the fact that she never considered her husband her “bff” he still offered her comfort and support in everything she did.
Even on her podcast, Anna Is Unqualified, viewers can often here Faris and Pratt in their daily relationship dynamic which is usually filled with support and praise. It’s always nice to know that the dynamic between your “favorite” celebrity couple is genuine whether they’re still together or not.
Despite the Internet’s depressed reaction to the celebrity couple’s split, there’s no doubt that Faris and Pratt have both been looking radiant and happy as they work toward finding a new normal. They are currently working at co-parenting their 4-year-old son.
