John Legend is married to Chrissy Teigen. Chrissy was discovered as a model when she was working at a surf shop in Huntington Beach, California at only 18 years old. The couple has a one-year-old daughter named Luna.
However, the parents decided to choose the gender of their first born as opposed to leaving it up to chance. Chrissy has admitted that she tried natural birth for the first hour but eventually went with a c-section to ‘know what it was like.’
The couple’s recent outing to an awards show sparked some ‘outrage.’

The 2017 Annual Tony Awards was held at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. It was the 71st Tony Awards and it was broadcast live on CBS this year.
The event was meant to celebrate some of Broadway’s biggest and best hits of the year.
Chrissy Teigen was obviously rocking the red carpet with her husband in celebration of John Legend’s nomination for co-producing the Broadway revival of Jitney.
However, some people on Twitter decided to insult her by saying that she ‘would show up to anything.’
Chrissy promptly responded by saying: ‘yes, if my partner of 10 years is nominated, I will show up with him, you witch.’
I’m sure John is entitled to a plus one to any red carpet event so who’s to nitpick his choice of dates? Furthermore, tons of fans supported Chrissy’s appearance as well as her response.
Some people commented: ‘she’s a celebrity, married to another celebrity, who’s extremely talented and celebrated. Yes, she’s everywhere, but because she and John should be.’
Another user stated: ‘good for her! Why she should have to defend herself in the first place is beyond me as she has every right to show up to any event she so chooses but good on her for her class and classy response.’
