Couple Shot In Road-Rage Incident Had Just Left Ultrasound Appointment, Says Family

A 19-year-old expectant father from Kansas City, Missouri named Christopher Hutson was fatally shot in a road rage incident. The tragedy occurred at 4:15 pm on Holmes Road, near Interstate 435, on May 25, 2017.

Hutson and his pregnant girlfriend Tailer Monroe were driving home from an ultrasound appointment when they got lost and began to drive slowly. A man driving behind him started getting angry because Hutson was driving slow.

According to the police, the driver was a white male with a bald head. He yelled at the victims through the car window that they were driving too slow, and he wanted them to get out of the way.

The Police noted that the man passed the couple, but then Hutson pulled up to the man and began arguing with him. That is when the man fatally shot Hutson in the head. Monroe did not get injured in the incident.

Hutson was rushed to the hospital when the incident occurred but later passed away leaving behind his girlfriend of four years.

The pair were high school sweethearts and they had a five-year plan in place for their life with their new baby.

A GoFundMe page has been set up by Monroe’s family to raise money for her after this tragic accident.

According to the GoFundMe page, “Chris at age 19 worked at Synchrony Financial services making enough money to be a full provider for Tailer and the baby Chris.”

“Chris took her back and forth to her doctor appointments. The day of the tragedy, Chris had put money to the side to pay for a special ultrasound,” the page goes on to state.

The page also goes on to describe what the money would go towards in order to help Monroe and her baby live a healthy life.

“I would like to raise money to help Tailer and baby Chris start their life together, unfortunately without Chris.”
