Crime Expert Claims To Know ‘How And Where’ Madeleine McCann Died

It’s been almost a decade since 3-year-old Madeleine McCann disappeared from her bed in a holiday apartment in Praia da Luz, Portugal. An ongoing search has continued relentlessly with police describing McCann as having:

  • Blonde hair,
  • Blue and green eyes,
  • Small brown spot on left calf,
  • Dark strip on the iris of right eye.

Despite the disappearance of Madeleine McCann being called “the most heavily reported missing-person case in modern history,” her whereabouts remain unknown.

However, one crime expert has come forward claiming that he knows “how and where” Madeleine McCann died.

Madeleine McCann went missing on May 3, 2007 after her parents left her with her two-year-old twin siblings while dining at a tapas bar just 55 meters away from their vacation apartment with friends.

The McCanns had reportedly gone to check on the children throughout the evening. At 10 pm, they realized that Madeleine was gone.

Madeleine has now been missing for over 9 years and the disappearance has garnered international interest, sparking many theories. The tragedy has put the parents under intense scrutiny from the public.

The initial speculation was that Madeleine was abducted from the Praia da Luz vacation apartment, but criminal investigator Moita Flores is confident in a different theory.

Flores was involved with the Policia Judiciaria in the search for Madeleine McCann and recently told the website Flash! that he is certain he knows what happened to the little girl.

“Maddie died in that apartment, I have no doubt,” Flores said in comments reported by The Sun. “It would have been impossible to get through the window with a child.”

Spokesman for the McCanns, Clarence Mitchell, responded to Flores’ statement by saying, “Kate and Gerry will not be fueling any of this pure speculation with any comment whatsoever.”

Police investigation, Operation Grange, has extended the search for Maddie by six months and were given an extra £85,000 by the Home Office, which Flores believes would be better suited for reconstruction in the resort, saying, “It’s the only way to resolve the case.”

The Sun reported that a McCann source challenged Flores’ comments, saying, “There is no proof that Madeleine died in the holiday apartment or anywhere else, and until there is any shred of evidence, her parents believe their daughter could still be alive.”

The source also stated, “This person [Moita Flores] is presenting himself as a criminal expert and is regurgitating claims made by Mr. Amaral, he is repeating all the old assertions it seems for shock value.”

With the tenth anniversary of Madeleine McCann’s disappearance looming, many theories about the case have emerged in the press and the parents, Kate and Gerry, have been subject to criticism.

However, Moita Flores isn’t the only person who has been involved in the search for Madeleine McCann, another person came forward with their belief that Madeleine wasn’t abducted from the apartment.

Investigative journalist, Mark Williams-Thomas, explained his theory on ITV’s This Morning before he was asked to stop for legal reasons.

“We know the twins did not wake up on days prior to her disappearance,” Williams-Thomas said. “And I think as a result of that, Madeleine was clearly aware they were in the tapas bar that was in the resort.”

Due to this, Williams-Thomas believes that Madeleine woke up in the middle of the night and went to look for her parents through an “insecure” back door. To get to the tapas bar, Madeleine would have had to cross a public road.

There have been over 9,000 potential sightings made since Madeleine disappeared almost 10 years ago and her parents are refusing to lose hope that their daughter is alive.
