This Is What Happens When You Drop An iPhone 7 In A Bowl Of The World’s Strongest Acid

When a person gets a brand new iPhone for Christmas, they will most likely protect the valuable cellphone with their life. As a pricey product, you’re going to want to get a case for it. But when you’re a Tech YouTuber, then you might have the funds to conduct some pretty crazy experiments on it.

In this video, tech YouTuber TechRax pours some of the world’s strongest acid onto a brand new iPhone 7. He starts off by showing viewers the new phone and then goes on to explain that he has purchased a bottle of Fluoroantimonic acid.

“This is called Fluoroantimonic Acid. It has a pH level of -31 and it’s supposedly ten quadrillion times stronger than sulfuric acid,” he explains. “I have 100 grams of it and I will just gently try and pour this on an iPhone 7 and wait it out for 24 hours. I’m not going to try and initially mix it with anything because there’s not enough research shown on this. I haven’t even seen a single YouTube video of this stuff.”

At first glance, it appears that the bottle is filled with crystals rather than in a standard liquid form. As the YouTuber begins to open the bottle up, you can see that it’s covered in an odd rubber protectant. He places the iPhone 7 face down into a glass tray and prepares to cover it in acid.

He begins to pour the acid onto the phone and that’s when we see that the acid is in forms of crystal. The crystals lie on top of the back of the iPhone and now it’s time to let them sit for the night.

After about 12 hours, he comes back to the phone and we can see that it’s completely wrecked.  He pours more of the acidic crystals onto the phone and adds a few drops of Hydrogen peroxide.

But the experiment doesn’t end there. He ends up pouring in a few cups of Sulfuric acid as well. After going through acid baths, it’s time to see if the iPhone still works. Be sure to watch the video below to see the final results.
