Weddings are special days for families, relatives and most certainly for the bride and groom. Some prefer an extravagant wedding while others prefer a nice quaint and private ceremony. A bride from Brazil wanted to enter her wedding with a grand entrance. Unfortunately, things didn’t go quite as planned. Rosemere do Nascimento Silva died in a tragic helicopter accident. Her goal was to enter her wedding in a helicopter but along with the pilot, a pregnant photographer and her brother they all perished in the crash.
Rosemere do Nascimento Silva was only 32 years old when she passed away. Her hope was to surprise her soon-to-be husband and to surprise all of the guests that were present for her wedding. Her fiance was waiting for her at the altar at the time of her death.
The helicopter crashed approximately a mile away from the wedding reception in a remote area somewhere in the outskirts of Sao Paulo.
Like with any other traditional wedding, most of the guests expected her to walk in with her father by her side. Only six of the 300 guests were aware of the surprise. Police and officials are still trying to determine the cause of the accident.
Some reports have stated the crash was due to bad visibility such as rain, fog, and cloud. It has also been rumored that the poor weather conditions caused the chopper to crash into a tree.
According to one of the wedding organizers, they said: ‘All brides have a dream and hers was to arrive by helicopter to their wedding without anyone knowing.’ 8 fire trucks were sent to the scene of the accident but nothing could be done to quell the fire and save the occupants.
The flight to the wedding reception should have only taken 15 minutes. The pilot was Peterson Pinheiro, the brother was Silvano Nascimento da Silva, and the photographer who was pregnant was Nayla Cristina Neves.
