15 High School Photos Of Celebrities That Shows We Were All Ugly Ducklings At One Point

We’ve all heard the saying by now: ‘watch who you make fun of in high school’ because that person can turn out to be a stunner. Despite the shallowness and materialism that is associated with that saying, it certainly does ring true. Not only because puberty can do wonders to one’s acne-filled face but also because maturity, experience, and wisdom can help build a new and improved personality.

While many would assume that celebrities were born with glowing eyes and a glittering smile, not everyone was born as a gorgeous swan. Some of us started off as ugly ducklings.

Read on to see 15 celebrities who may have been considered ugly ducklings during their high school years.

Anne Hathaway is an American actress and singer. She famously starred in Princess Diaries and Ella Enchanted. She was born in Brooklyn, New York and it was her mother who initially got her interested in acting.

Charlie Sheen was sporting that broad, bright smile since his high school years. Charlie famously starred in Two and a Half Men and also films like Platoon, Wall Street, Young Guns and The Three Musketeers, just to name a few.

The beautiful Megan Fox was gorgeous even back in high school. As an actress and a model, she has appeared in such films like Transformers and Jennifer’s Body.

Nowadays a true ladies’ man, James Franco may not have always been such a stud. In high school, he looked a little meaner and certainly didn’t seem to like to smile too much. But these days with his great sense of humor, curly locks and a bright smile, it is quite easy to see why he is so irresistible.

Mila Kunis is gorgeous whether in real life, in high school, or in her teenage years on That 70’s Show. What is so funny is that despite her good looks, she voices the character of Meg in Family Guy. Poor Meg regularly gets lambasted for not boasting the same good looks as Mila.

Emma Stone first appeared as Jonah Hill’s crush on Superbad, and since then she has starred in numerous flicks including Easy A, The Amazing Spiderman and also The Help.

Alec Baldwin. You can kind of see the resemblance between the Alec Baldwin of today compared to his high school yearbook photo. The eyes are still glistening and the charming smile has certainly stood the test of time.

Robert Downey Jr. From what looks to be a skinny high school kid with a sly smile, to the formidable Iron Man. That is quite a transformation from high school, don’t you think? I wonder if he was voted most likely to become a superhero in high school…

Stanley Tucci certainly hasn’t changed that much from his high school days. Besides the lack of hair, he still has that shy smile and big eyes. The glasses only add to the sense of sophistication and maturity.

Jack Nicholson. Everybody knows Jack Nicholson (well, more so nowadays for sitting courtside at Lakers games than appearing in movies). Jack went through quite the transformation since his formative years. Although the eyes and the beaming smile still remain.

Another superhero on this list. Logan, I mean Wolverine, I mean Hugh Jackman—looks nearly identical today as he did when he was in high school.

Matt Damon looks absolutely the same as he did when he was in high school. Just a little scruffier and a lot more muscular. Seems like Father Time treated Jimmy Kimmel’s arch nemesis just fine.

Sandra Bullock. No longer sporting the double ponytail, Sandra doesn’t look to have aged much since her high school years. Her bright smile and glowing eyes are sure to still captivate men (and women) around the world.

Bradley Cooper. Nowadays, after the explosion that was Hangover and the subsequent award-winning films he has been in, Bradley went through quite the change since high school. Resembling more a mobster than anything else in high school, he grew up to be quite the ladies’ man.

Jennifer Lawrence. Funny witty and of course beautiful, Jennifer definitely shed that shy girl look in high school to embrace her new elegant, beautiful and sophisticated look in her adult years.

I guess she is living proof that regardless of how we look in high school, we can all blossom into a gorgeous butterfly.
