Despite all the terrible things going on in the world, people still manage to focus on the least offensive things. A video surfaced of a mother getting her baby’s ear pierced and some people have decided that this act is akin to child abuse. But we’ll let you be the judge.
Apparently, the argument goes something like this: babies can’t decide what they want to be done with their bodies and ear piercing inflicts pain on a defenseless child. Correct me if I’m wrong but I believe we also change babies’ diapers and feed them without express consent. It’s a parent’s job to exercise that consent for an infant.
All jokes aside, we’ve definitely become a bit too melodramatic if something like this will enrage us past the point of reason. Since when is it okay for the entire world to judge the action of a mother? Hasn’t there recently been a movement condemning those who dare judge any mother’s action (unless they are obviously harmful of course)?
Soon, you’ll see the video so that you too can decide whether you’d like to be outraged for no good reason. Some of the comments that people have left are so over-the-top that you’ll legitimately think they are being sarcastic. Here is one that claims that now that this mother has hurt this baby’s “feelings” and pierced her ears, the poor child will never be able to trust again.
Thankfully, there are still some people who don’t see this as some huge offense to mankind. To those people, I say: protect yourself, the world needs your common sense. I remember a time when not every little thing inspired a passionate response or required you to take a side, this is an example of one of those things that you shouldn’t feel strongly about.
The little baby is beautiful before and after but the mother wanted her child to have earrings. That’s the whole story. How does everyone not have high blood-pressure problems at this point? Getting angry this often is not only tiresome but it’s actually bad for your health.
Here is the video below. Warning: The baby cries, but to be fair I also cry every time I get a flu shot and I am certainly not an infant so don’t judge the child too harshly. If you find yourself getting enraged by the despicable actions of the mother, leave a comment and let us know exactly how you feel.
