12 Warning Signs That You Are Dealing With A Person Who Is Evil

A Father Punched His Four-Month-Old Daughter To Death Because She Wouldn’t Stop Crying

Joseph Gazzam is a 30-year-old father who punched his daughter to death. The man has since been charged with homicide, recklessly endangering another person and endangering the welfare of a child. He is currently being held in Allegheny County Jail. Initially, Joseph claimed that the child suffered her injuries from a fall out of bed but later admitted to punching her several times.

An autopsy revealed that she had been brutally beaten.

Four-month-old Victoria Gazzam was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Officers in Mount Lebanon in Pennsylvania were called to the Gazzam home a little after noon on Sunday. It was in response to a call about an unresponsive infant.

Originally, Joseph said that his daughter sustained these severe injuries due to a fall out of bed while the two were taking a nap together.

An autopsy later revealed that the four-month-old died of blunt force trauma and that she had sustained multiple broken bones, a lacerated heart vessel, a lacerated kidney, brain bleeding, a liver contusion and also a hemorrhage between her eyes. There were also several prominent bruises on the little girl’s back and head.

An affidavit, Dr. Christine James of the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office, said that the ‘injuries could not occur to an infant by falling from the surface of a mattress that was two feet, two inches above a carpeted floor.’

Joseph later admitted to beating his daughter to death.

He said that after changing her diaper, feeding her and then putting her down for a nap, she quickly woke up.

He continued by saying that Victoria was being ‘fussy’ and would ‘not stop crying and would not fall asleep again’ so he punched the baby twice in the head out of anger and then in the stomach and the back.

He called 911 after Victoria’s eyes rolled to the back of her head and she stopped breathing. Victoria’s mother was at work in the morning and Joseph was the only one present at the time of his daughter’s death.
