From magicians, to famous actors, to athletes, many people adorn the streets of Las Vegas, Hollywood and New York. While some may falter under the bright and intense lights of Hollywood, others are able to bask in the attention and wealth. The Kardashians have long been in the public eye due to their interesting and ever growing family. From famous rapper Kanye West, to Caitlyn Jenner, to Kim K, the Kardashians are used to being under the bright lights of Hollywood.
But this weekend, the eldest Kardashian came under fire after some Instagram pictures she posted online seemed to irk some of her fans.
Read on to find out more about the 37 year old reality star.
Kourtney Kardashian is the eldest Kardashian offspring and in general has stayed away from what can be both positive and negative attention in Hollywood.
Her two children with ex-boyfriend Scott Disick were displayed on Instagram this past weekend but the emergence of Penelope and Reign is not what caused the stir.
Captioned ‘rolling into the weekend’ Kourtney showed off a picture of her adorable daughters riding atop a Mercedes G-Wagon. The two young girls could be seen perched on top of the white wagon with Kourtney’s arms outstretched towards them.
Although some users commented on the danger of placing children on such a large and tall vehicle, it wasn’t this particular post that generated the criticism.
The over $122,000 vehicle was seen once again but this time the image was captioned with ‘mayonnaise-colored Benz, I push Miracle Whips.’ This was in reference to her brother-in-law Kanye West’s most recent song, Last Call.
While the girls looked comfortable and safe atop the ride, some followers weren’t so happy with the photo.
Some users questioned the safety of such a photo shoot by saying: ‘Really? Letting your kids sit on the hood of your 100k car?’
While other fans defended Kourtney by saying that the pictures were ‘cute’ and one user even told her haters to ‘give it a rest.’
But the real reason for all the ‘hate’ was more so to do with flaunting the Kardashian wealth. In the last episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kim warned against flaunting expensive objects online.
She provided this warning after she was robbed at gunpoint in Paris over her $5 million ring which was shown on her Instagram. She explained to her siblings that it was not wise to make the same mistake she did.
Others were more critical by saying ‘this is why you need 10 bodyguards’ and ‘you basically just showed someone what kind of car you drive.’
However, it doesn’t seem like Kourtney is fazed by this hate since she hasn’t responded to her haters or taken the photos down. Whatever she decides to do, it might be best if she heeded the advice of her younger sister.
