The announcement everyone has been waiting for has finally arrived! Not only did Kylie Jenner confirm that she was pregnant, she just gave birth! On Thursday, February 1st, celebrities Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott officially became parents after Kylie gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, according to Kylie’s Instagram.
The baby was born around 4:43 PM at the Cedar-Sinai hospital in LA and weighed in at 8 lbs 9 oz. Cedar-Sinai happens to be the same hospital where her sisters Kim and Kourtney also gave birth to their children. For the past 5 months or so, Kylie has gone completely underground with her entire pregnancy.
Now, a statement released on her Instagram page, explains in detail why Kylie never wanted to go on record with any kind of announcements, saying, “I’m sorry for keeping you all in the dark through all the assumptions.” She added: “My pregnancy was one I chose not to do in front of the world. I knew for myself that I needed to prepare for this role of a lifetime in the most positive, stress free, and healthy way I knew how.”
It’s clear from the reactions from her fans that everyone is respectful, happy, and pleased with her wishes to keep this a close secret. A beautiful video has since been released via Kylie’s YouTube page showing a touching tribute to her new role as a mother titled “To Our Daughter” directed by Tyler Ross, with music by Jacob Wilkinson Smith.
Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott have yet to choose a name for their new baby girl, but this has not stopped them from creating a touching tribute video titled “To Our Daughter” that outlines the history of Kylie being born, transitioning into motherhood herself.
The video includes footage from Kylie’s birth which uses special editing techniques to make the entire video look like it was shot on VHS including some new footage.
On her Instagram page, Kylie stated that “I just couldn’t wait to share this blessing” after keeping her entire pregnancy in a media blackout. Becoming a mother is no doubt a life-changing experience that Kylie just wanted to keep to herself, and we don’t blame her!
