Megan Fox is an American actress and model. She began acting in 2001 and had a regular role on the television sitcom Hope & Faith. But it was in the blockbuster action film franchise, Transformers, where the mother of three gained real stardom. The native of Tennessee was ranked number fourteen in the 2011 Men’s Health 100 Hottest Women of All Time list, behind other starlets such as Angelina Jolie and Scarlett Johansson.
But more recently, Megan opened up about the time she got fired from the Transformers franchise.
She explains that since that incident, she has only grown and improved.
During an interview with Cosmopolitan UK. the 31-year-old said: ‘that was absolutely the low point of my career. But without — ‘that thing,’ I wouldn’t have learned as quickly as I did.’
‘All I had to do was apologize — and I refused. I was so self-righteous at 23, I couldn’t see [that] it was for the greater good. I really thought I was Joan of Arc.’
Her dismissal from the future movies was due to her comments about the director in an interview with British magazine Wonderland.
Megan said that director Michael Bay ‘wants to be like Hitler on his sets’ and also that he’s ‘a nightmare to work for.’
But in 2011 during an interview with GQ, Michael Bay said that it was actually Steven Spielberg, who was one of the film’s executive producers, who decided to fire Megan.
Megan continued: ‘it hurt me and a lot of other people. However, that darkness that descended caused enormous and brisk spiritual growth. Once I realized I [had] brought it on myself, it was an invaluable learning experience, looking back on it.’
But it seems like nowadays, the actress is more focused on her mommy duties. With her three sons at home, 14-month-old Journey, 3 and a half-year-old Bodhi Ransom and also 5-year-old Noah Shannon, she has hardly any time for herself.
‘I haven’t slept in almost a year. There’s not one night that I have slept through the night. I’m still breastfeeding and [Journey] wakes up all the time, and then the other two come and wake me up and get in bed also.’
