After four guys in Illinois attempted to rob their pizza guy, they were shocked to learn that their victim wasn’t your stereotypical pizza pie delivery guy. In fact, the man was actually Illinois Senator a former Minnesota linebacker Napoleon Harris III.
The hungry criminals had a plan to mug the pizza man by ordering a delivery to an unoccupied home. Once the delivery man arrived to the house, they planned to rob the poor guy. However, they did not expect the 6 foot 3 inch man to show up to their door. The senator actually owns two Beggars Pizza franchises and decided to delivery the order himself to give his staff a little break.
When he arrived to the vacant home he learned that this was a trap. The house was not owned by anyone up the time – it was up for sale. The 250 pound former linebacker was attacked by four guys, but he was able to defend himself. “They put a choke hold on the senator, but to no avail. They were really trying to choke him to death, and he was just too strong. He out-powered all four of them,’ revealed spokesperson Sean Howard.
“As they were all beating on him, one guy just went out of his way and really hit him hard, and Napoleon never moved. He just looked at him like Hulk Hogan, and from that the guys knew that we better get out of here, because we can’t get this guy down.”
Once the attackers fled from the scene, Howard discovered that there was a nearby truck that had blood inside the back of the vehicle. The blood was registered to a man who had been reported missing. The victim was later found dead.
Thanks to the senator’s description of the attackers and the new found evidence, authorities manage to find the guys behind the crimes.
Malik Mayer was charged with murder and financial transaction card fraud. Lawrence Hines was charged with murder and is accused of allegedly kidnapping and torturing a man. A juvenile was also arrested, and a fourth is facing charges.
