Celebrities, they’re just like us! Miley Cyrus showed her vulnerable side in an interview with Howard Stern when she opened up about her relationship with fiance Liam Hemsworth, admitting she still has insecurities when it comes to other women.
Howard, known for asking the difficult questions, asked Miley what it’s like to deal with Liam’s movie career, especially when the ‘Hunger Games’ star is acting alongside an attractive female. Miley and Liam themselves sparked a relationship while on the set of the Nicholas Sparks’ romantic drama ‘The Last Song.’
With speculation that other women may have been the cause of their break up back in 2013, the “Younger Now” singer says it’s still something she gets nervous about. “I get that little butterfly in my stomach,” Miley said. “But I know me and I know what our relationship is.”
Miley tells Howard their careers make for an abnormal situation, but off camera, it seems the couple is handling it well. The loving pair is a picture-perfect couple on social media and Miley’s song “Malibu” is a tribute to their new life together in their Malibu home.
The rekindling of their engagement last year comes as a happy surprise to many fans. The breakup wasn’t exactly on the best terms; Liam was caught kissing a Mexican singer just a day after they announced the split and Miley later released Bangerz, an album speculated to have some unflattering references to Liam.
But on their breakup, Miley says,”I had to. I don’t like when relationships are two halves trying to make a whole.” She also told the radio presenter, “I don’t think I have that co-dependency anymore. I think people that break up and get back together, that’s awesome.”
Howard didn’t let her off that easy though and asked if she ever checks up on him while on set. “I keep my little spies,” Miley revealed. “So I don’t always have to be there.”
