Considering the fact that the Star Wars movies span over a period of four decades, there are a lot of actors and actresses that you may have forgotten even played parts in the films. If you’re a Star Wars buff, you may or may not be surprised by some of the people on this list. Here are 25 celebrities that you probably didn’t even know where in the Star Wars movies.

1. Over the past 40 years, the Star Wars franchise has seen generations of actors and actresses who have graced the screen with their presence. Since the release of Star Wars IV: A New Hope in 1977, some of our favorite actors and actresses have played iconic roles in the widely popular franchise. For some, landing a gig in the iconic series was a big break and for others, simply a life long dream come true. Australian actress Rose Byrne has become a household name in the last few years. Byrne proved herself to have a natural knack for comedy when she stole scenes in hit films Bridesmaids, Neighbors, and Spy. However, fairly early in her career, Rose had a role in Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones in 2002. Byrne played Dormé, one of Padme’s handmaidens, which helped pave the way for a successful future in Hollywood films.

2. Actor Dominic West has become a celebrated actor on the small screen starring in multiple hit TV shows including The Wire, where he plays Detective Jimmy McNulty, and Showtime’s The Affair. Prior to landing big roles, West had a small role in one big movie. In 1999, West played a palace guard in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace.
