Pink sang the national anthem at this year’s Super Bowl, but it was Pink’s brother who stole the show with an adorable photo posted by the singer’s husband Carey Hart.
Unfortunately for the pop star, Pink came down with the flu just before her performance and shared her diagnosis by posting a picture of herself during rehearsal: “I’ve arrived at another one of my dreams which is slowly becoming a sort of nightmare,” the singer admitted.
“I will tell you, this is one of the biggest honors of my life, singing this song in front of my family, my military family, my dad and brother and step mama and family and the world. And the EAGLES!?!?! I promise I will do my best, as I always do,” wrote Pink in her caption.
The singer shared two Instagram posts of her military brother, the first being a hilarious video where he’s singing the Philadelphia Eagles’ fight song during his plane ride there. Pink also posted precious photos of her son, Jameson, in Eagles gear to show her support. Pink’s family was at the Super Bowl not only to watch the Eagles and Patriots battle it out but to support her – and it’s obvious she did them proud.
But it was her husband, former freestyle motocross competitor Carey Hart, who posted a photo of Pink’s brother Lt. Col. Jason Moore to his Instagram saluting his sister during the national anthem that had an impact: “My brother in law Lieutenant Colonel Jason Moore, during the national anthem that his sister is singing, at the super bowl. #America,” wrote Hart in his caption. The photo has over 130,000 likes.
Hart also posted a photo of Pink and their daughter Willow with a sweet caption praising her performance: “I am beyond proud of this woman. The roller coaster that she went through this last week with getting sick and losing her voice would have broke any ordinary person.”
“Oh and sang live by the way,” wrote Hart. “She is the hardest working in show business and I couldn’t be more proud of her.”
