Navy Seal Who Killed Bin Laden Calls Trump’s Parade Plan ‘Third World Bulls**t’

Ever heard the saying, “Don’t rain on my parade”? Well, that’s exactly what people are doing on Trump’s latest idea of doing a military parade. People are just not having it. After attending France’s Bastille Day Parade, he basically wanted what they were having.

But according to reports, the idea has faced the withering fire, with people photoshopping the President’s face on a child who is playing with toy soldiers. One person who has a lot to say about the president’s military parade idea is former Navy SEAL, Robert O’Neill. He killed terrorist Osama bin Laden back in 2011.

He isn’t holding back in completely blasting President Donald Trump’s plans to hold a military parade. On Thursday, O’Neill tweeted, “A military parade is third world bulls**t. We prepare. We deter. We fight. Stop this conversation.”

He then added another tweeted, referring to the 2003 invasion of Iraq: “We had a parade once. It was 2003 and we called it a Thunder Run. Someone remind Vladimir…”

But O’Neill isn’t the only military veteran who is against this parade. He actually joins a whole chorus of military veterans who believe that the parade would be a horrible idea. Another veteran who tweeted out was Sen. Tammy Duckworth.

Duckworth told CNN, “This parade would not only waste millions of taxpayer dollars, it would also cost our military precious time and resources.” Arieh Kovler tweeted, “Military parades are for insecure countries. They’re the national equivalent of the mid-life-crisis sports car.”

Who knows if this will actually be sought through. Trump’s plans are now being compared to military displays that are routinely seen in places like North Korea and Russia.

According to Vox.com, President Trump told reporters at the United Nations General Assembly, “It was one of the greatest parades I’ve ever seen.” This was just two months after he celebrated Bastille Day on the Champs-Elysees in Paris on July 14.

He jokingly told the French President, Emmanuel Macron, “We’re going to have to try to top it.” Well, everyone thought he was joking at the time. According to reports, Trump has ordered the Pentagon to prepare his own parade.

USA Today adds that the idea of a military parade down Washington’s Pennsylvania Avenue came to Trump way before he attended the Bastille Day parade. The site notes that he first mentioned the idea during an interview with the Post two days before his inauguration.

According to his site, O’Neill is a public speaker today, a security consultant and a philanthropist. He is also a FOX News contributor. O’Neill has been part of about 400 combat missions during his military career.
