Natalia Nemets was a 36-year-old mother who worked at a confectionery factory in Russia when she was found dead inside of a vat of molten caramel. It has been reported that Natalia was boiled alive by the molten caramel.
This horrific incident occurred at the Slavyanka confectionary factory.
Her colleagues began to be worried after they noticed she was missing from her usual place at the factory.
It was earlier this week when Natalia was discovered dead in a workplace accident. The native of Stary Oskol in the Belgorod Oblast region of Russia was found with only her legs sticking out of the large tank.
Apparently, the workers began searching for Natalia and that’s when they found her legs protruding from out of a large caramel tank.
One of the workers at the factory said: ‘She got boiled alive, this is true. She did not cry, no other noise was heard.’ The worker continued on by saying that the caramel was later removed so that Natalia’s body could be taken out of the vat.
‘The caramel was removed from the giant bowl and only then was her body was taken out. Besides the fact that it was boiling caramel, in the bowl, there are moving blades that constantly mix the caramel.’
So far there are two theories as to how Natalia ended up in the vat. The first theory is that the high air temperature caused Natalia to faint and then fall in. The second theory is that she somehow stumbled, fell in, and then was boiled alive by the molten caramel.
So far, Natalia is the third worker to die at the factory within this year and a labor commission has started an investigation on the factory. There have been rumors that management at the Slavyanka confectionary factor tried to cover up the workplace death.
Some of the executives tried to threaten the workers by saying that they would be fired if they revealed any information to the press.
The labor commission is set to release its report in the coming weeks. Natalia leaves behind a 10-year-old son in Ivan who is now staying with Natalia’s sister, Yulia.
